Overview

Boring on site instead of in the shop

The portable boring mills are built for on-site work with quick setup and stable operation, so the machining comes to the worksite instead of the part going to a shop. Linear rails, rigid construction and feed screws provide the accuracy, and the compact design is easy to move and fits tight spaces.

Three models are offered. The MT4 x 24 has 16.8 in of Z travel on a 12.4 x 10.4 in magnet base. The MT6 x 18 has 12.5 in of Z travel on a 14.36 x 10.4 in magnet base. The MT8 x 30 has 21 in of Z travel on a 16.8 x 14.1 in magnet base.

The mills can be welded, clamped, bolted or magnetically attached to the workpiece. They run on hydraulic, electric or air drives, and feeds range from 20 in per minute to 3:1 manual and servo-powered feeds.
