LDFM milling head facing the surface of a large steel flange with chips on the floor
The Mactech LDFM large diameter facing machine faces flanges up to 229 in. Segmented legs mount it inside diameters from 55 in to 185 in, and it works with rotary milling or single-point tooling for flat, accurate surfaces.

The LDFM is made for precision flange facing on large-scale jobs. It offers both rotary milling and single-point tooling, and it handles diameters up to 229 in.
Flexible segmented legs fit interior diameters from 55 in to 185 in closely, which speeds setup. The adjustable rotary hub moves independently of the mounting legs to produce flat, accurate surfaces, and a rigid tubular beam reduces vibration for smoother results.
With milling, the cutting range is 55 in to 205 in, or up to 229 in with the extension bracket. With single-point tooling, the range is 55 in to 204 in, or up to 224 in with the bracket. The head travels 59.5 in on the X axis and 7 in on the Z axis.
The LDFM brings flange machining to parts too large to move to a shop.
