The ITF Rotary Drum parts washer carries the parts through pre-washing, washing, rinsing and optional passivation on a rotating screw conveyor, stirring them gently while hot detergent is sprayed at a set pressure.

In the ITF Rotary Drum, also called a screw conveyor washing machine, the parts are loaded in measured doses into a hopper. A rotating screw conveyor inside the machine carries them through the washing stages. The rotation gently stirs the parts while hot detergent is sprayed through nozzles at a set pressure.
The stages are combined to suit the parts and the contaminants, such as oils and shavings. For heavily oily parts, a pre-washing stage concentrates the oil in the first tank, where it is separated and removed with an external oil separator. Washing removes the contaminants, rinsing removes the residual detergent, and passivation can be added as an option.
Each active stage has its own spray ramps inside the drum. Drainage areas between the stages limit carry-over of solution into the next tank, and chutes below the drum lead each solution back to its own treatment tank.
With the Depure-Rinse system, the heat of the generated steam warms the tanks. The steam condenses into hot fresh water that refills the rinse and degreasing tanks, while the most contaminated solution goes to a concentration and boiling tank that holds the heating unit.
The washing stages are combined to match the parts and the contaminants to be removed.
