Parquet lamellas
Thin top-layer lamellas for parquet cut with a small kerf.
The Möhringer PRECISION CUT thincutting band saw cuts thin, high-value products with a kerf of 1.2 to 1.6 mm and a tolerance down to ±0.1 mm. Infeed devices adjust in steps of 1/100 mm for timber up to 400 mm high.

Thincutting band saws are built for the precise production of high-value products such as parquet lamellas, floorboard strips, door components, saw-cut veneer, pencil timber and parts for musical instruments.
Even thin products are sawn with high precision and a very small kerf. This comes from precise blade tensioning with special crowning of the wheels, the blade guiding system and high-precision infeed devices that adjust in steps of 1/100 mm.
The kerf is 1.2 to 1.6 mm, and the cutting speed is 7 to 40 m/min depending on timber type, humidity and cutting width. Raw material is used economically despite high feed speeds, and long blade life keeps running costs low. The cutting tolerance is ±0.1 to ±0.2 mm, depending on cutting depth, timber type and humidity.
The saws can run as stand-alone units with manual infeed. Normally the feeding is automatic and the timber is processed by several machines in line.
The thincutting band saw is made for thin, high-value wood products.
