Overview
Covering shaped panels with a liquid membrane
The P-400 covers panels with round edges and other shaped surfaces. Its structure is made of thick milled steel to take the pressures this work needs, and a hydraulic system pre-fills the cylinders for fast opening and closing of the platens. The mobile platen runs on guides and racks.
Highly deformable, heat-resistant membranes are fixed to the platens. They are filled with a mix of water and additives, for platen temperatures up to about 80 °C, and the platens are heated with an electric boiler and diathermic oil. The press is offered with a single membrane or a double membrane.
An electric control board with PLC sets working pressure and temperature, re-establishes pressure if it drops, and controls opening and closing, including timed automatic opening. The table measures 2400 x 1100 mm, the platen stroke and opening is 350 mm and loading is from the long side. Independent platen temperature is optional, and different versions and sizes are available on request.
