Overview

Hanger blasting for heavy and complex parts

Rösler spinner hanger blast machines are the workhorses among shot blast machines. They are mainly used in foundries, forge shops and steel construction for descaling, derusting, paint stripping, roughening and de-sanding heavy or large-volume parts and solid steel parts.

The parts are hung on fixtures and processed in batches, or in clocked or continuous throughput via a rail system. Depending on the design, up to 20 Gamma 400 G turbines are fitted as standard.

The blast cabins are made of manganese steel up to 10 mm thick for stability and wear protection. A patented multi-layer ceiling seal with brushes and rubber segments gives almost 100% tightness.

Models

Batch and continuous feed designs

Rösler RHBE spinner hanger blast machine with orange double doors, hanger hook on an overhead rail and elevator

RHBE spinner hanger blast machine

Compact batch machine with single rail, open Y-track or closed Y-track transport. The parts rotate and oscillate in a motion adapted to each work piece.

Rösler RHBD-K continuous feed spinner hanger blast machine with long enclosed cabin and overhead conveyor frame

RHBD-K continuous feed spinner hanger blast machine

Overhead conveyor version for high volumes and large, solid work pieces. It joins existing transport systems or runs standalone with a loop conveyor.

Applications

Where spinner hanger blasting is used

The machines handle parts that are too sensitive, complex, heavy or large to be tumbled in bulk.

Descaling and derusting

Removing scale and rust from heavy forged and steel parts.

Paint stripping

Stripping paint from parts hung on fixtures.

De-sanding castings

Removing sand from foundry castings.

Roughening and cleaning

Roughening, deburring and cleaning for homogeneous surface finishes.
