TTM drive and thermal control on a 5-axis gantry
XS combines high dynamics, flexibility and accuracy in a 5-axis gantry machining centre. Its X axis uses patented TTM technology for high dynamics and feed rates, reaching 80,000 mm/min.
A thermal control system for the structures supports volumetric accuracy in 5-axis machining regardless of the ambient temperature. A third guideway with a flex-torsional stabilizer keeps the machine stable across the working area.
The longitudinal axis runs from 3,000 to 30,000 mm, the cross axis from 2,700 to 4,700 mm and the vertical axis from 1,500 to 2,200 mm. The spindle offers up to 100 kW, 1,000 Nm and 36,000 rpm. XS can be configured with an automatic head or electrospindle change system for roughing and finishing, plus turning tables or pallet changers.
