Overview

Large components cut under a moving cabin

The MSF Max is the large-format machine in MicroStep's fiber laser range. It is a high-speed 3D cutting machine for precise processing of large components, with shipbuilding as a typical field of use.

The safety cabin covers a work area up to 50 m long and 6 m wide. It travels along the cutting table, so the machine cuts in the covered zone while plates are loaded and unloaded in the open zone. An optional retractable cabin allows different work area sizes.

Besides 2D cutting, the MSF Max cuts bevels up to 45°, drills up to Ø 30 mm, taps up to M20, countersinks and marks. MicroStep's patented ACTG auto-calibration is integrated into the gantry to keep bevel cuts accurate over time and to speed up calibration. Pipe cutting is available on request.
