DIG LAAU Automated Laser Cutting Line

Laser cutter with storage tower and automatic loading and unloading

The DIG LAAU line links a laser cutter with a storage tower and automatic loading and unloading for unmanned operation. It handles sheets up to 3000 × 1500 mm or 4000 × 2000 mm in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

Overview

Cutting and material handling in one line

The LAAU combines a laser cutting machine with automated material handling and computer control. It relieves workers from heavy and repetitive work, raises machine load and lowers the cost per part.

Two versions are listed. The 3000 × 1500 mm version takes sheets up to 20 mm thick and 720 kg, with 15 storage compartments, 150 mm layer height, 275 s cycle time and 42 kW maximum power. The 4000 × 2000 mm version takes 16 mm and 1000 kg, with 10 compartments, 80 mm layer height, 300 s cycle time and 60 kW.

Both versions carry 5 t on the pallet and trolley and 3 t of finished parts. Sheets are loaded by crane or forklift and unloaded by trolley or conveyor, and the line runs from the laser machine control panel on 0.5–0.7 MPa compressed air.
