MBO T9
Electronic mortiser with N.C. lengthwise axis, encoder, proximity-switch depth control and four hydraulic hold-downs.
STETON mortising machines cut slots for joinery and doors. The range covers the electronic MBO T9 and manual MBO T1 horizontal mortisers, the GT-60 and GT-40 chain mortisers and the CP-45 bit mortiser.

The MBO T9 is an electronic mortiser with oil-pneumatic cross displacement and electric lengthwise movement of the table, driven by a screw and gearmotor with encoder and programmed by N.C. A stop system lets it program a set of slots on pieces much longer than the carriage stroke, with slot depth set by proximity switches and four hydraulic hold-downs. The MBO T1 has the same oil-pneumatic cross movement with a manual lengthwise handwheel and revolving mechanical stops, and cuts slots of different lengths and depths.
The GT-60 and GT-40 are chain mortisers with vertical and horizontal bit units, each with two bits (0.5 + 2 HP). The GT-60 is designed for door work, with slots up to 300 mm long and 160 mm deep; the GT-40 cuts slots up to 250 mm long and 160 mm deep. Both have a 100 mm traverse head stroke and 45° head tilting.
The CP-45 is a bit mortiser with a fixed 600 × 280 mm table and a movable head sliding on 20 mm linear guides. It cuts slots up to 250 mm deep at 2800 rpm.
