The COSMEC SMART 30 is a compact CNC machining center for craftsmen and small companies. It shares components with COSMEC's larger machines and comes in 3-axis or 5-axis form for wood, plastics, aluminium and composites.

Overview
A compact machining center that grows with the shop
The SMART 30 is built for easy and flexible use in small workshops. It uses the same components as COSMEC's higher-range machines, and it is offered as the 3-axis SMART 30 and the SMART 30 – 5 AXIS.
The X axis runs from 3100 to 9100 mm and the Y axis from 1350 to 1450 mm. Z travel is 150 mm on a flat table or 120 mm with bars on the 3-axis machine, and 250 or 200 mm on the 5-axis version. Vector speed is 85 m/min and linear speed is 60 m/min.
The 3-axis electrospindle gives 10/12 kW with an ISO 30 taper, and the 5-axis spindle gives 11/13 kW with an HSK F 63 taper, both at 24,000 rpm. A 10-position rotary tool changer (10 or 16 on the 5-axis) and a 10-position rack hold up to 20 or 26 tools.

LED bar positioning
An LED system guides the semi-automatic positioning of the mobile bars and suction cups.
Rotor axis
A rotor axis system turns aggregates on the main spindle for angled work.
5-axis configuration
The 5-axis head machines shaped parts, models and composite components.
Automatic tool change
A 10-position automatic tool changer travels with the head for quick tool swaps.
Further units
A horizontal group with two exits, a floating unit and standard or special aggregates are also offered.
