COSMEC FOX routers are closed-bridge, fixed-table CNC machining centers with a welded steel frame and high-vacuum hold-down. They cut, mill and drill wood, plastics, foam, rubber, cardboard and aluminium composite panels.

Overview
An entry router with a closed bridge and fixed table
The FOX range is COSMEC's entry machining center for flat panels. A closed bridge runs over a fixed table, and the welded steel structure carries the operating units. The FOX 13, FOX 16 and FOX 22 come in 3 or 4-axis versions, and the FOX 22 is also built as the FOX 22 – 5 AXIS.
Working fields are 2470 × 1400 mm on the FOX 13, 3200 × 1660 mm on the FOX 16 and 4140 × 2200 mm on the FOX 22. Panels up to 200 mm thick pass under the bridge on the 3-axis machines, and up to 250 mm on the 5-axis version.
The bakelite table is split into four vacuum sectors that switch on independently, which suits nesting work. The 13 kW electrospindle turns at 24,000 rpm as standard, with 36,000 or 40,000 rpm as options, and takes ISO 30 tool holders or optional HSK F63, HSK E40 and HSK E32 holders.
Numerical control, a colour display, a mobile console and USB connection come with the machine. Options include automatic loading and unloading, a sandwich working table, pressing rollers, board alignment, a camera device for machining orientation and an oscillating blade unit.

Tool change
A 12-position tool changer plus a rack of 8, 10 or 12 positions, depending on the model, keeps tools ready for the next job.
Operating units
The electrospindle and additional units work on the panel for cutting, milling and drilling.
Auxiliary rotary tool changer
An auxiliary rotary tool changer adds more tool places next to the bridge.
Automatic loading
Optional systems load and unload panels automatically for nesting work.
Rubber and cardboard
A dedicated configuration and an oscillating blade unit are offered for rubber and cardboard processing.
