Overview
The lighter IDEA with a single ram
IDEA machines are built for model making and composite materials. The crossbar moves on top of the structure, so the moving mass stays small and the machine stays dynamic on complex parts with frequent changes of direction.
The L series uses a single-travel vertical ram on the beam, sized for spindles up to 15 kW. The IDEA 30 L has a 3000 × 1600 mm working field, with 3000 × 2100 or 3000 × 2600 mm as options, and the IDEA 36 L has 3600 × 2100 mm, or 3600 × 2600 mm. Panel feed thickness is 1200 mm, or 1500 mm as an option.
The HSK F63 spindle turns from 500 to 24,000 rpm at 10 kW, or 15 kW as an option. Vector speed is 110 m/min and linear speed 80 m/min, and the tool changer has 16 positions, with 32 or 48 as options.
Applications
Work on the IDEA L series
The IDEA L series handles complex 3D shapes where a lighter spindle is enough.
Composite parts
Composite and plastic components are machined in a closed working area.
Workpiece clamping
Suction platens, grills, reverse T-slot platens and hybrid systems hold the parts.
Dust containment
A fully sealed cabin is available on request to contain dust from composite machining.
