Internal elbow welds
The articulated arm reaches inside curved elbows of different radii.
The DIG column and boom elbow welding system welds the inside of curved pipe elbows. A five-section articulated arm on the boom follows the elbow radius, and TIG, MIG/MAG or SAW welding can be used.

Column and boom manipulators carry out circular or longitudinal welds with TIG, MIG/MAG or SAW. An elevation mechanism raises or lowers the column to set the boom height for different workpieces and weld positions.
For curved elbows, an articulated arm is mounted at the end of the crossbeam. Its five hinged sections can be angled and locked, so the arm takes the shape of the elbow radius. A motor slide kit and an electric rotary bearing give three degrees of freedom for different welding postures.
DIG designed the system for curved elbows and column and boom seam work.
