Overview

Fully automatic Rockwell testing for production lines

TWIN-X is a fully automatic hardness tester for Rockwell and Superficial Rockwell testing, designed for high productivity, repeatable results and easy integration into production lines.

The patented Ernst spring-load system makes the test insensitive to bending, deflection or small movement of the workpiece, and is faster than load-cell-based systems. The 45 mm indenter stroke allows parts of different thickness to be tested without manual height adjustment.

The clamping shield allows overhanging or irregular parts to be tested without external support, and the screw unit can be removed for large molds, castings or in-line parts. Test programs are stored and data exported through USB.

Benefits

Why it fits production testing

High productivity. A very fast test cycle raises productivity.
Fewer manual errors. Automatic testing reduces operator involvement and manual errors.
Consistent results. Readings hold even if the workpiece bends or deflects.
Large and irregular parts. Overhanging and irregular parts are tested without extra support.
Less adjustment. The 45 mm indenter stroke reduces manual height adjustment.
Easy documentation. Data export supports process documentation.
