Overview

Built for heavy SAW in tailored welding cells

PEMA EHD is an extra heavy-duty column and boom series for very demanding welding automation purposes. The machines are always built to fulfil the customer's specific production requirements and are suited to heavy SAW welding in tailored automation cells.

The series is ideal for multi wire SAW processes and also covers strip cladding and narrow gap applications, on longitudinal and circumferential seams. It is easy to integrate with PEMA positioners and rollerbeds, and optional accessories include flux handling, a camera and control systems.

Six sizes are available, from EHD 5×5 to EHD 10×10. The EHD 5×5 offers a vertical reach of 1 500–6 500 mm and a boom reach of 1 250–6 250 mm, while the EHD 10×10 reaches 2 100–12 100 mm vertically and 2 000–12 000 mm with the boom. Column rotation is motorized.
