Overview
Higher-power pulsed welding sources
SISMA SL is a series of laser systems for automatic welding, built for high speed and precision. At its core is a Nd:YAG flash-lamp laser source, here available with 150 W or 300 W average power.
The SL 150 delivers 10.5 kW peak power and 75 J maximum pulse energy at pulse frequencies up to 100 Hz. The SL 300 delivers 12 kW and 150 J at up to 50 Hz. Both work at 1064 nm with pulse durations from 0.3 to 25 ms and run on a 400 V three-phase supply.
The laser light travels through an optical fibre, available in several sizes, and a water cooling system keeps the pulses constant and repeatable. An optional Cruise Control system, on the PLUS version, keeps the energy of each pulse stable under demanding conditions.
