Overview
One gantry for pipes, profiles, beams and plates
ProfileCut is built for the production of steel structures. Besides the sheet cutting area, it can be fitted with optional zones for cutting pipes, rectangular profiles and structural profiles such as I, U and L sections.
A laser scanner measures the real shape of the profile at the cutting point, and the control system adjusts the tool path to that shape. This allows precise division of beams and cut-outs exactly where they are needed, as well as drilling and marking on the beams.
Working length runs from 1.5 m to 50 m and working width from 1.5 m to 8 m. The machine cuts pipes from Ø100 to 1500 mm weighing up to 12 t, hollow profiles from 100 x 100 to 600 x 600 mm and H-profiles up to HEB 1000. Drilling and tapping cover Ø4 to 40 mm and M4 to M33 with automatic tool exchange.
The tool set is chosen from MicroStep accessories: plasma straight, rotator and 90° rotator stations, oxyfuel straight, rotator, multi-torch and triple bevel stations, a drilling tool station, profile scanner, RSV rotary pipe positioners, inkjet writer, MicroPunch marking, CCD camera and automatic plate alignment.

Pipe cutting
Pipes from Ø100 to 1500 mm and up to 12 t are turned on RSV rotary pipe positioners while the torch cuts.
H-beams and open profiles
I, U and L sections up to HEB 1000 are scanned, divided and given cut-outs where needed.
Hollow profiles
Rectangular and square hollow sections from 100 x 100 to 600 x 600 mm are cut in their own zone.
Plate cutting
The sheet zone cuts plates by plasma or oxyfuel, with bevel cutting available as an option.
Drilling and marking
Holes from Ø4 to 40 mm, threads M4 to M33 and markings are added on beams and plates.
