Overview
Automated laser cutting for pipes and profiles
The MSF Pipe-AT cuts round and rectangular pipes as well as open profiles such as U, L and C sections with a fiber laser. Open profiles are handled after consultation with MicroStep. The line runs fully automated, from loading through cutting to unloading.
Motorized pipe supports compensate for the torsional stiffness of pipes and profiles, and automated support platforms take the parts at unloading. A 3D laser scanner measures the actual tube shape along the cut paths and compensates for workpiece imperfections, so the result stays accurate.
Bevel cutting is available with the ACTG auto-calibration of tool geometry. The machine takes workpieces up to Ø200 mm or 200 x 200 mm, up to 6.5 m long and up to 400 kg, with a positioning speed of 130 m/min. Every line is configured to the customer's needs.

Round pipes
Pipes up to Ø200 mm are cut, contoured and bevelled with the fiber laser.
Rectangular and square tubes
Hollow sections up to 200 x 200 mm are cut with holes and slots along their length.
Open profiles
U, L and C profiles can be processed after consultation with MicroStep.
