Genizer Online High Pressure Liposome Extruder from Genizer is a scalable extrusion system for homogeneous unilamellar liposomes and lipopolyplexes, from test scale (1–200 mL) up to production scale (2–100 L).
Review the confirmed product information, including description, features, benefits, and applications.
The Genizer High Pressure Liposome Extruder produces unilamellar liposome and lipopolyplex populations by controlled extrusion of multilamellar liposome suspensions. The formulation is repeatedly forced through polycarbonate membranes with defined pore sizes, giving homogeneous liposome sizes typically in the 50–120 nm range.
Configurations cover test scale (1–200 mL), pilot scale (100–8000 mL) and production scale (2–100 L). Depending on the model, the extruder operates from 150 psi up to 6,000 psi, using hand-driven, compressed-air-driven or pump-driven (online) power systems.
It is made of 316L stainless steel with pharmaceutical-grade materials and electropolished, passivated internal surfaces for sanitary operation. Tri-Clamp, NPT, UNF, flange and custom connections allow integration into laboratory and GMP manufacturing, and the design is compatible with FDA and GMP requirements for sterile processing.
