Review the confirmed product information, including description, features, benefits, and applications.
The Jacketed Liposome Extruder is a temperature-controlled extrusion system for controlled production and size reduction of liposomes and lipid-based formulations. Liposomal suspensions are repeatedly forced through precision polycarbonate membranes with defined pore sizes to achieve a uniform, narrow particle size distribution.
The jacketed construction allows heating or cooling of the extrusion chamber, so lipid formulations stay above their phase transition temperature during processing. This supports stable processing of temperature-sensitive lipid compositions with consistent results.
The system suits laboratory and pilot-scale formulation development, process optimization and scale-up studies. It is built from pharmaceutical-grade materials for GMP-oriented operation and disassembles easily for cleaning and membrane replacement.
