Overview
Monolithic bed for heavy machining
The TUR SMN 800/930/1100 is a CNC lathe for metal, designed for heavy machining of parts up to 1,100 mm in diameter. The monolithic bed gives lathes in this series their stability and precision.
Distances between centres run from 2,000 mm up to 16,000 mm. The machine takes 4,000 kg between centres without steadies, 7,000 kg as an option, and 1,000 kg in the chuck only.
The headstock has two spindle ranges (4–300 and 160–1,200 rpm), a 41 kW main drive motor and up to 4,900 Nm of turning torque. The standard spindle bore is 140 mm, with 220, 320, 360 and 450 mm as options, and a D1-11 spindle nose as standard. The tailstock quill is 125, 140 or 160 mm in diameter.
