Overview
Turning diameter not limited by the carriage
The FCTS 900 machining center is one of the CNC machine models made in Europe by FAT HACO. The special design of the bed and the column means the 900 mm turning diameter is not limited by the carriage slide. The design also supports swarf removal, easy setting and operation, and a good distribution of cutting forces.
Three versions are available: the standard FCTS 900, the FCTS 900 Y with an integrated Y axis, and the FCTS YH with a higher column for a milling head with B axis, a tool magazine and an extended Y axis.
Distances between centres run from 1,900 to 7,900 mm. The two-range planetary gearbox headstock has a 41 kW main motor, spindle bores of 140 or 220 mm and up to 3,500 Nm of torque. The machine takes up to 4,500 kg between centres without steadies and 1,000 kg in the chuck only.
