Overview
Flexible container stacking on tyres
The RTG runs on rubber tyres, so it can move between blocks of the container yard. Capacity under the spreader is 41, 45 or 50 t in single lift and 50, 60 or 65 t in twin lift, and a cargo beam is optional for oversized cargo.
The gantry spans up to 10 container rows and stacks up to 1 over 7. Wheelbase is 6.4, 6.9 or 9.6 m depending on the class. The trolley travels at 70 m/min and the crane at 130 m/min, and the hoist runs at 20 to 30 m/min with rated load and 52 to 60 m/min with an empty spreader.
Three power systems are offered: the classic RTG with a diesel generator at constant or variable speed, the E-RTG fed by cable reel or busbar, and the hybrid RTG with a battery system and variable speed generator. The A-RTG adds automated positioning and unmanned operation without rails, for medium and large terminals.
