Overview
A T-structure built for multitasking
In the THS T-structure, the column moves across, the table moves lengthwise and the head saddle moves vertically. This layout gives structural rigidity, high material removal and good access to the working area.
Heads range from mechanical power spindles to working heads with up to two continuous axes and motor spindles, including the TMT, TVE, TET and TILT-E heads, and TILT-M on THS 120. Rotary tables can be fitted for milling and/or turning. The automatic tool changer is configurable and can be placed outside the working area.
THS 120 offers 1,600 to 3,000 mm longitudinal and 1,250 to 2,000 mm cross and vertical travels with feeds up to 30,000 mm/min. THS 100 offers 1,500 to 2,500 mm longitudinal and 1,200 mm cross and vertical travels with feeds up to 40,000 mm/min. Both list a spindle of up to 78 kW, 1,375 Nm and 36,000 rpm.
