Delicate grinding/linishing
Grinding operations on delicate and complex parts.
COSMAP Robotic Cell (IR) handles delicate and complex grinding/linishing work, with grinding units that rotate 0–180° and move on a controlled ball screw, so the robot settings can stay unchanged.

The Robotic Cell (IR) is designed for delicate and complex grinding/linishing operations, to raise their performance and output. The cells handle different grinding tasks, and special grinding units can change tools, from simple grinding discs to flap wheels or buffs.
Each unit has a controlled axis that rotates the grinding head from 0 to 180°. This helps the robot reach uneven surfaces and works around the robot arm when it is in the way. Each unit is also mounted on a controlled ball screw that manages working pressure, compensates for buff wear and repositions the unit when needed.
Because the unit itself moves back and forth, the robot settings do not need to change, which speeds up processing. Each cell can include an automatic loading/unloading system suited to the product, such as a double pallet, a belt conveyor or a vertical/drum loader, and cells can be single, double or triple.
The cell is built for grinding/linishing work that needs flexibility and reach.
