MicroStep MG is a multi-functional CNC cutting and drilling machine for long-term industrial use. It combines plasma and oxyfuel bevel cutting, pipe and dome cutting, drilling and marking on one gantry up to 50 m long.

Overview
One gantry for cutting, drilling and marking
The MG sits at the top of MicroStep's plasma and oxyfuel range and is built for long-term industrial use, with a focus on precision, performance and easy operation. Working length runs from 1500 to 50000 mm and working width from 1500 to 8000 mm.
The gantry carries up to 6 tool stations, or 8 on the G version. Plasma and oxyfuel bevel cutting is done with rotators and tilting tool stations, drilling and tapping from Ø 4 to 40 mm and M4 to M33 use automatic tool exchange, and marking is done with an inkjet writer or micropercussion.
A rotary pipe positioner adds pipe cutting from Ø 30 to 1000 mm and up to 10 t. A special heightened-gantry version raises oxyfuel cutting to 250 mm and pipe cutting to Ø 1500 mm and 12 t. Plates are positioned with a laser sensor or a CCD camera, and plasma cutting thickness depends on the plasma source chosen.

Bevel cutting
Weld edge bevels cut with plasma rotators or oxyfuel triple bevel tool stations.
Thick plate oxyfuel cutting
Oxyfuel cutting up to 150 mm, or up to 250 mm with the heightened gantry.
Pipe, profile and elbow cutting
Pipes from Ø 30 to 1000 mm and up to 10 t, plus profiles and elbows, with a rotary pipe positioner.
Dome cutting
Cutting of dome-shaped parts on the same machine as flat plate.
Drilling and tapping
Holes from Ø 4 to 40 mm and threads from M4 to M33 with automatic tool exchange.
Marking
Inkjet or micropercussion marking of parts before they leave the table.
