The Taco TS Series are single-stage, double-suction vertical split case pumps for water circulation in heating, air conditioning, pressure boosting, cooling water transfer and water supply systems.
They combine a vertical split casing with a high-efficiency double-suction impeller. Side suction and top discharge connections minimise installation space, and the double-suction arrangement reduces axial thrust and bearing loading.
A dry shaft design, replaceable wear components and an accessible casing simplify maintenance.
Pressure & Temperature
- Working pressure: standard 175 PSIG (1,210 kPa); optional 300 PSIG (2,070 kPa), subject to pressure–temperature limits.
- Fluid temperature up to 250°F (120°C).
Materials
- Casing: ASTM A48 Class 30A cast iron with integral mounting feet.
- Impeller: bronze; optional AISI 304 stainless steel.
- Shaft: AISI 1045 carbon steel; optional AISI 420 stainless steel.
- Replaceable shaft sleeves and wear rings in bronze or AISI 420 stainless steel, depending on construction.
- Mechanical seal: carbon rotating face, silicon carbide stationary seat and Viton elastomers.
Base, Drive & Options
- Reinforced welded steel base with standard drip pan and ¾-inch drain; grouting recommended.
- Flexible coupling suitable for conventional starting and variable-frequency-drive operation.
- Optional copper seal flush line and 5-micron cartridge filter.
Compact Piping
The side suction and top discharge arrangement reduces installation space.
Longer Bearing Life
Reduced axial thrust extends bearing life.
Dry Shaft Design
