Taco GT Series pumps are single-stage, double-suction horizontal split case pumps for high-capacity heating, cooling, pressure boosting and water supply systems, with quiet, dependable operation.
They combine a horizontal split casing with a high-efficiency double-suction impeller. The casing arrangement allows servicing without disturbing piping connections.
Replaceable shaft sleeves and wear rings simplify maintenance, while a reinforced steel base and standard drip pan support stable installation and operation.
Pressure & Connections
- Working pressure: 175 PSIG (1,210 kPa) standard; optional 300 PSIG (2,070 kPa), subject to pressure–temperature limits.
- Fluid temperature up to 250°F (120°C).
- ANSI Class 125 or Class 250 flanges.
Materials & Seal
- Casing: ASTM A48 Class 30A cast iron with integral mounting feet.
- Impeller: bronze; optional AISI 304 stainless steel.
- Shaft: AISI 1045 carbon steel; optional AISI 420 stainless steel.
- Bronze or stainless steel shaft sleeves and wear rings, depending on construction.
- Mechanical seal: carbon rotating face, silicon carbide stationary seat and Viton elastomers.
Base & Options
- Reinforced structural steel base with integral drip pan and ¾-inch drain.
- Grouting recommended by Hydraulic Institute and ASHRAE.
- Flexible coupling suitable for conventional starting and variable-frequency-drive operation.
- Options: external seal flushing and 5-micron cartridge filter.
