Overview

Cold-work steel for cyclically loaded tools

SIHARD is a cold-work tool steel brand produced by SIJ Metal Ravne and distributed and serviced by HTS Group / Ravne Steel Center. It is adapted for machining and cutting metal, wood and synthetic materials.

The steels combine dimensional stability, high compressive strength and the required toughness with resistance to adhesion, abrasion and fragmentation of the cutting edge. They can be nitrided and given hard PVD or EDM coatings.

SIHARD steels are used for cyclically loaded tools such as punches, presses, die inserts for powder compaction, knives, blades, forging tools, rolling tools and deep drawing tools.
