PCR thermal cycler built for automated workstations
Biometra TRobot II from Analytik Jena is a thermal cycler for robotic workstations. A compact PCR module sits on the deck, the controller below; the arc-shaped lid opens the block to the gripper on three sides for 24/7 use.
Biometra TRobot II is designed for automated systems, where a small footprint matters. A compact PCR module is placed directly on the automation deck, while the controller can be stored underneath.
The arc-shaped opening movement keeps the instrument low and leaves the sample block accessible to the gripper from three sides. The lid closes vertically with software-adjustable pressure for uniform conditions in every well, and a patented system of four motor-driven lifters frees plates that stick to the block after long incubations.
Besides PCR, TRobot II handles other molecular-biology and chemical incubations in PCR plates, such as NGS library generation. A prepared driver library speeds up integration into scheduler software, and Biometra TSuite allows direct control for first runs.
