About D12Ex-IR Infrared Gas Transmitter
The D12Ex-IR uses a single-path non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor, mainly for combustible levels of methane or other hydrocarbons. It is also available with CO2 sensors: a low-range sensor scalable from 0–1000 ppm to 0–5%, and a high-range sensor from 0–10% to 0–50%.
The transmitter provides analog 4-20 mA signals, optional relays for local alarms, and HART or Modbus communication. It is certified for explosion hazard areas, and the sensor can be mounted up to about 30 m (100 ft) from the transmitter.
