Bioluminescent reagent, solutions and consumables for acute toxicity tests
BioLight from Aqua Science is a freeze-dried bioluminescent reagent made from Aliivibrio fischeri (NRRL B-11177), with the solutions and consumables to run ISO 11348-3 tests on BioLight Toxy, Microtox and other luminometers.
BioLight reagent is made from the marine bacterium Aliivibrio fischeri (NRRL B-11177). The strain meets ISO 11348-3 and is sensitive to more than 3,600 chemical compounds in water, sediments and soil.
The reagent comes as Single test (field protocols) and Multi test (laboratory protocols). One 1 mL vial contains up to one hundred million test organisms. Shelf life is 3 years at –20 to –25 °C; once reconstituted, it is used for up to 4 hours in the cooled read well.
BioLight reagents also work with Microtox Model 500, Microtox LX, Microtox FX and DeltaTox luminometers – a replacement for Microtox Acute or SOLO reagents. Each lot ships with a quality certificate.
