The Taco RSP Suction Diffuser (SD Series) combines an elbow, a strainer and flow-straightening vanes at the pump suction. It directs and straightens the flow entering the pump while filtering debris.
Its integrated elbow design eliminates the requirement for ten pipe diameters of straight suction piping. A removable rear cover provides access to the permanent strainer, and a disposable start-up strainer captures debris during commissioning.
Pressure & Temperature
- Working pressure: 175 PSI for Class 125 flanged units; 300 PSI for Class 250 units, subject to pressure–temperature ratings.
- Operating temperature up to 250°F (121°C).

- Ductile iron body, cover and integral straightening vanes.
- Permanent 304 stainless steel strainer.
- Disposable 16-mesh bronze start-up strainer.
- Reusable EPDM cover O-ring.
Service Provisions
- Metering port and blowdown port.
