Taco 5900 Separators create a low-pressure-drop hydraulic bridge between primary and secondary circuits, allowing their pumps to operate independently and helping prevent unwanted flow between circuits.
Standard FlexBalance models use internal baffles. FlexBalance Plus models add PALL Rings that combine microbubbles for venting and collect dirt for discharge through a blowdown valve, integrating hydraulic separation and system cleaning in one unit.
Pressure & Temperature
- Standard rating: 125 psi at 270°F (approximately 8.6 bar at 132°C).
- Optional 150 psi rating.
- 250 psi units referenced in the mechanical specifications, subject to factory selection.
Design
- Steel body construction.
- Standard models: internal baffles for hydraulic separation.
- Integral brass conical venting chamber.
- Optional ½" temperature/pressure ports on all nozzles.
FlexBalance Plus
- Stainless steel PALL Ring baskets for air and dirt separation.
- Removes microbubbles down to 18 microns and dirt/debris down to 35 microns.
- Bottom blowdown valve for accumulated dirt.
- Optional removable cover for basket inspection and cleaning.
Independent Pumps
