Die steel bores
Honing ordinary die steel at a removal rate of about 750 cm³/h.
HTT HM Horizontal Honing Machines hone deep bores from 6 to 500 mm with strokes up to 20,000 mm, using servo-controlled motions, a 15-inch touch screen and three-stage honing oil filtration.

The HTT HM machines are horizontal deep hole honing machines. The main spindle runs parallel to the work surface. They are usually built with a single spindle, and can also be arranged linearly in a production line.
Two sizes are offered. The HM50 covers bore diameters of 6–50 mm with strokes of 1,000–4,000 mm. The HM500 covers 40–500 mm with strokes of 2,000–20,000 mm. The cooling tank holds 500 L on the HM50 and 1,000 L on the HM500.
Reciprocating, rotating and expanding motions are servo-controlled. HTT gives a removal rate of about 750 cm³/h on ordinary die steel and has also run processing tests on titanium alloys and nickel-based alloys.
HTT gives these materials and set-ups for its horizontal honing machines.
