The WFDTN Series Waterflow Detectors from Safe Signal are designed for primary signalling in residential sprinkler systems and branch line applications. They feature a NEMA 4 rated enclosure that is more damage-resistant than traditional metal designs, for indoor and outdoor environments.
The unit operates across a temperature range of 32°F to 150°F and fits any tee with a 1" NPT branch. A mechanical time delay minimises the risk of false alarms due to pressure surges or air trapped in the system.
Connection
- Fits tees with a 1" NPT branch: 1" to 2" threaded ferrous and brass tees, 1" to 2" copper sweat tees and 1" CPVC tees.
- Directional cover shows flow direction.
Electrical
- Two sets of SPDT (Form C) synchronized switches.
- Contacts rated 10.0 A, ½ HP @ 125/250 VAC and 2.5 A @ 6/12/24 VDC.
- Switch synchronization activates alarm panel and local bell/horn strobe.
- Accommodates up to 12 AWG wire with wire-ready terminals.
Enclosure & Service
- UL-listed models with NEMA 4 rating.
- Sealed retard mechanism resistant to dust and contaminants.
- Visual and audible (73 dBA) switch activation.
