NOOR showcases advanced ultrasound technology at the 8th MMISU annual conference
NOOR Scientific & Trade LLC (Medical Technologies Division) actively supported the 8th Annual MMISU Conference, held at Hilton Heliopolis, Cairo, from October 28–30, 2026, through three key scientific and practical activities.
A major highlight is the use of Esaote’s MyLab™E85 GTS Edition ultrasound system during a live-broadcast procedure from the Air Force Hospital to the conference lectures room. Its advanced MRI–ultrasound fusion technology enables precise, targeted prostate biopsies, demonstrating its clinical value to attending physicians.
NOOR also offered the participants of the conference an opportunity to gain practical experience and hands-on training of running MyLab™E85 GTS Edition, exploring its advanced capabilities and clinical applications.
Besides, NOOR showcased Esaote’s latest diagnostic imaging solutions at its exhibition booth and allowed deep technical discussions with experts from Esaote.
Through this participation, NOOR reinforces its commitment to introducing advanced international medical technologies to Egypt, supporting clinical expertise, and contributing to the continuous advancement of healthcare services.

What is the heaviest organ in the human body?
An organ is a group of tissues that work together to perform a specific task in the body. The most-cited number of organs in the human body stands at 78. These include major functional units like the brain and the heart, as well as much smaller body parts, such as the tongue.
But which of the body’s organs weigh the most? The answer to that question may surprise you.
Skin wears the crown of the heaviest organ in the human body — however, there’s some discrepancy as to how much it weighs. Some sources state that adults carry an average 8 pounds (3.6 kilograms) of skin, while other sources say that the skin makes up about 16% of an adult’s total body weight, which would suggest that skin of an adult weighing 170-pound (77-kg) would weigh about 27 pounds (12.3 kg), for example.
Electronic Mail (email)
The history of email entails an evolving set of technologies and standards that culminated in the email systems in use today. Computer-based messaging between users of the same system became possible following the advent of time-sharing in the early 1960s.
Proprietary electronic mail systems began to emerge in the 1970s and early 1980s. IBM developed a primitive in-house solution for office automation over the period 1970–1972, and replaced it with OFS (Office System), providing mail transfer between individuals, in 1974. However, in 1971, Ray Tomlinson sent the first mail message between two computers on the ARPANET, introducing the now-familiar address syntax with the ‘@’ symbol designating the user’s system address.
During the 1980s and 1990s, use of email became common in business, government, universities, and defence/military industries.
By the 2000s, email had gained ubiquitous status. The popularity of smartphones since the 2010s has enabled instant access to emails.
